Few days ago, a friend asked if Banku is healthy.
A food is healthy or unhealthy depending on amount eaten and how often it is eaten. That is one has to ensure variety of foods are included in their diet and eat moderate (dependent on factors) amount.
The trick I have developed is to prepare my banku in small ball size. This way, I don’t only eat moderate amount of banku but also stop myself from reaching for a second ball because I don’t like the thought of eating 2 balls of banku.
Additionally, by adding vegetables and fruit, it makes the meal fuller and stops me from eating more than I should. And oh by cutting my chicken into smaller pieces, my mind tells me I am taking too much chicken after the 3rd piece. I hope it doesn’t stop me at one in the future
